Travel Photo Expo 2013 at SM North EDSA

Mr. Chito Vecina, president of Travel Foto Explorer; together with Quezon City Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte;  ABS-CBN vice president for news & internal affairs Charie Villa; publisher of i-Mag Photography magazine, Neil Garcia; Canon Philippines president Allan Chng, and SM Communications VP Millie Dizon will be at the opening of the event.

The exhibit willl have product displays, photo shoots and workshops conducted by different masters of photography. Workshops will be conducted by Nix Taytay (Basic Photography), Kyle Stanley, (Lightroom Techniques), Nelwin Uy (Wedding Destination), Ibarra Deri, (Portrait Photography), Mark Floro (Advertising Photography) and Raymond Cruz (Landscape Photography).

At the Expo the photo contest winners of “Beyond Travel Photography” People’s and Judges’ Choice will be awarded on Oct. 5.  First place winner Robert Marrel Dela Vega under the People’s Choice category will be featured in i-Mag Photography magazine and Manila Bulletin’s “Picture Perfect” section. Robert Marrel Dela Vega will also be given a photo exhibit slot in the event and a 2TB Seagate External HD. Meanwhile second to fifth place winners Alberto Andone Jr., Melanio Mejarito, Ramon Jacktong and Raymund Silla, respectively, are also entitled to receive a photo exhibit slot that will be displayed all throughout the event. Under the Judges’ Choice award, first place winner was won by Orly Punzalan. Second to fifth place was won by Irvinne Redor, Sandra Ledesma, Lhor Santillan, Jun Garcia, Antonio Rojas, Lindy Barbosa and Winston Wayne, accordingly

I would like to extend the congratulations to all the members of Wazzup Pilipinas  and Mr. Ross Del Rosario

The community blog formed together by a group of bloggers for the Filipino ” lakwatseros'” , gimikeros” , ” lagaristas” , “bulakbols”  . It is a term for the socially active individuals.

The community blog was awarded at the recent 2nd Digital Influencers Marketing Summit at the SMX Convention Center, Pasay City last September 21, 2013.

Some of the notable accomplishments include partnership with government agencies like the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) of the Department of Tourism (DOT),  Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC), and even Malacanang agreed that we can repost their press releases released by the Presidential Communications Development and Strategic Planning Office and the Office of the President. According to The Official Gazette webteam, Usec. Manuel L. Quezon said that they could include us in their Daylight dissemination list, while Usec. Abigail Valte agreed to include us also in their dissemination list for statements from the Office of the Presidential Spokesperson.

Wazzup Pilipinas has also currently maintained a staggering number of page views reaching a peak of more than 18,000+ on a single day and an average of 4,000+ daily views. (The statistics improves everyday so this may no longer be the actual data after a few days).

Many requests for event invites have been accumulating on its email and Facebook accounts thus there is really the need to now delegate the event participation tasks to correspondents all willing to contribute for the Wazzup Pilipinas blog.
