The Philippine Orchid Society in partnership with Quezon City government , different garden clubs and pet societies will present to the public the 68th mid-year orchid and pet show with the theme” The Great Orchid and Pet Expo ” . The venue site will be the Hardin ng mga Bulaklak or Flower Garden within the Quezon Memorial Circle in Quezon City.

The aim of the mid-year show is to showcase the rare Vanda sanderiana (Waling-waling ) and different orchid species and hybrids. Some are endangered of becoming extinct . Aside from the individual orchid and plant competition , there will be orchid landscaping and ornamental plant competition.

There will also be several booths which will exhibit different kinds of adorable pets and a commercial area where plants, garden equipments, fertilizers, seeds will be sold at an affordable price.

Starting August 29 to September 8, 2014 . there will be a daily afternoon lecture about orchid growing , pest and diseases , fertilization, conservation , pet and among others. Lecture starts at around 2:00PM and different resource speakers from industry experts , practitioners and experienced backyard hobbyists will grace the series.

Entrance Fees : Php 30 for general public , Php 20.00 for students and senior citizens with valid ID’s and group discount may be availed on large group.
