We always go to the historic Quiapo district , I even lived at one point near Arlegui street when i was still in kindergarten . After more than 6 hours tour, We decided to eat in one of the restaurant serving authentic Muslim halal food. Quiapo is just a stone throw away from other districts like Binondo, Santa Cruz and Sampaloc.

PAMANGANAN Restaurant is a 90 seat fine-dining and take out restaurant. The restaurant focus on Malaysian inspired menu with a touch of Arabic and Islamic influence. The restaurant is located in the booming and rapidly expanding, Manila Muslim Town in Quiapo, Manila. There is an air conditioned portion which can sit around 30 to 35 people at any given time.
Halal Pizzas
We ordered different kinds of halal food, I wanted to try to halal pizza but everyone wanted a rice combo meal. The Pamanganan menu is inspired from different countries’ specialties and appeal to a diverse clientele.
Nasi Goreng
Nasi Goreng is a Malaysian/ Indonesian fried rice with chopped carrots and corn bits, chicken bits topped with egg and cucumber with ketchup. You can mixed the food just like the fried rice. The dish can be spicy and there are also the non-spicy ones. Can be shared with 2 to 3 people Php 95.00 per order.
Mae Kari Special
Mae Kari Special is a noodle dish with curry , noodles and topped with egg and chopped spring onion leaves. Can be shared with 2 to 3 people Php 90 per order
Sizzling Beef
Sizzling Beef is served in sizzling plate with rice and beef and vegetables. Php 135 per order
You can get Malaysian specialties like mee goring, roti tellor, mertabak,nasi goring pataya, and more, or you can go a little bit more International and choose a beryani shrimp, beef, chicken or mutton with Pakistani basmati rice, or native nilagang hipon for 3 persons or more and up with savory real salivating special soup .
Sizzling Fish
Sizzling Fish is served in sizzling plate with special sauce with pechay and tomatoes Php 135 per order
Miki Lala
Miki Lala is a special ramen style soup with crab sticks, eggs, chicken strips with lemon grass in soup. This soup based-dish is perfect especially during rainy weather . It can be shared with 4 to 5 people and comes with Free Ice Tea drink . The soup can be spicy ,depending on the preference of the customer. Php 325 per order ( Must Try )
The restaurant also have a special nasi champur dish every day plus the ‘all Italian menu’ such as pizza and pasta which was made it specially blended with different customized flavors and hot sauce. Adding value will be an interesting business lunch menu with specialties every day. The menu will change every 3-4 months but keep the favorites. Prices will be competitive with other upscale restaurants in the area.
Mr. Yusoph Mando
The restaurant is a fine dining in a friendly atmosphere. Warm colors, fresh natural air, soft Asian music, and amazing artwork initiated by its own humble owner a self-made Yakan and a very sociable Mr. Yusoph Mando of Basilan. He also gave the group a nice tasting imported dates. ( Tamar Al Dina) .
