Manny Pacquiao Commemorative Stamps to be Issued by PHLPOST

Manny Pacquiao commemorative souvenir sheet stamp priced at Php 40 each

 Philippine Postal Corporation will be releasing special postage stamps to show support for eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao as he faces Floyd Mayweather Jr. in what is dubbed as the “Fight of the Century.” Set to be released for Php 10 each, PHLPost will be putting out a total of 500,000 copies of  the Manny Pacquiao “Fight of the Century” postage stamps. 30,000 copies of the souvenir sheet will also be released, priced at Php 40 each. Aside from the Php 40.00 souvenir sheet.

There will be First Day Cover which will cost around Php 100 plus 12% VAT and the ordinary Php 10.00 definitive stamp.

Pacquiao was already featured in a postage stamp in 2008, ahead of his June bout with David Diaz.  It is rare that Phlpost issues living Filipinos , Aside from current presidents , visiting head of states past issuance included Miss Universe 1969 Gloria Diaz and Miss Universe 1973 Margarita Moran  commemorative stamp which was issued in 1994 when the country hosted the Miss Universe pageant. Miss World 2013 Megan Young is one of the few living Filipinos honored with such issuance. The stamps, souvenir sheets and official first day cover shall be available at the Central Post Office, Door 203, Liwasang Bonifacio, Manila and  post offices nationwide.  For inquiries, please call 527-01-08 or 527-01-32.
