The Philippine Orchid Society together with Floral Designer’s Circle of the Philippines organized an orchid flower arrangement competition at the ongoing orchid show . This will give some refreshing ideas on new trends in flower arrangements.
Dendrobium orchid with flowers
This is a very simple flower arrangement in which anyone can personally arrange them using just 1 pot of Dendrobium orchid, small pebbles and tillandsia
Rhynchostylis praemorsa with native fan
This is a local foxtail orchid which had its blooming season during this time of the year mounted on a kakawate tree with variegated leaves and Dischidia oiantha ( Manaog ka Irog) with simple native fan and ordinary bottle covered in green paper and placed in a water hyacinth mat

There are 3 winners who shared the third place, Mr. Rene Sumalinog Ms. Lita Dizon and Ms. Dhory Alvendia

There were over 2 dozen entries at the orchid flower arrangement competition
Second place – Ms. Miles Hilario
She used Doritis pulcherrima variety champorensis
First Place – Mr. Micheal Andres far left with throphy
Mr. Micheal Andres is a last minute entrant to the competition. It was until the final hour that he was convinced into joining the orchid flower arrangement competition .
First Place
Aside from the BLUE ribbon, He also won a throphy , bragging rights and Php 2,000 cash
