Cedarhills Garden and Organic Center

I always pass along Mother Ignacia street whenever we are going to Manila area .  Cedarhills Garden and Organic Center is near Saint Mary College and major television networks . It was open to the public in 2013 to cater to the gardening public and due to the impending closure of then Manila Seedling Bank Foundation  . The area occupies an area of about 1,500 square -meters .

Hillside Cafe and Restaurant – This restaurant serves pasta, sandwiches , juices and cakes .

The center had three other businesses  which complemented each other like Obin’s Garden ( ornamental and indoor plants ) and a garden supply store.

Waling- Flowers from Davao

Waling- flowers from Davao  ( Waling-waling seedlings, tillandsias ,cut flowers , goat milk’s soap , fresh cut flowers and Malagos chocolate ) . They also got a cold storage area for their cut-flowers and cut foliage supplies .  The selection of cut flowers and cut foliage is not that extensive compared to Dangwa in Sampaloc , Manila.

For those living in northern Metro Manila like Quezon City , Fairview, Lagro and Scout area. It is more convenient to buy them at the center rather than braving the traffic and lost time.

For those looking for rare and unusual plant like venus flytrap, pitcher plant ,  tillandsias and waling-walings ( Euanthe sanderiana) . The place is also good to look for these plants.

The herbs available are: Sweet Basil, Thai Basil, Purple Basil, Lemon Basil, Vietnamese Coriander, Java Mint, Italian Oregano, Wansoy, Cat’s Whiskers, Tarragon, Catnip, Mayana, Pandan, Gynura, Viola, Parsley, Lavender, Rosemary, Acapulco and Malvarosa.

There are also good number of organic and inorganic fertilizers that are available to the gardening public aside from plastic pots, pruning sheers , citronela oils among others.

The seminar room will undergo a minor renovation starting next month to cater the increasing customers. Cedarhills also conducts a monthly seminar on organic gardening 101 and will be hosting an organic garden tour.

Starting October 11, Cedarhills’ business hours will be Monday to Saturdays 9am – 6pm.
