Exciting Floats and Street Dancing Parade at the Hortikultura Extravaganza 2016

The Philippine Horticultural Society together with Quezon City government , Quezon Memorial Circle administration , Del Monte -Philippines ( non participating ) float  , Agri-Aqua Network International Incorporated ( AANI ) , Harvest , Villar Foundation , PHSI c/o Myrna Magalong , Quezon City government , King Louis , Harbest , Bonsai and Suiseki Alliance of the Philippines , Agri-Aqua Network International  (AANI ) and Ashitaba by Ms. Adela Ang launched for the second year the floral float parade and street dancing parade at the Quezon Memorial Circle and adjacent area.

 

Villar Foundation

Villar Foundation float showcased a nipa hut with different vegetables , flowering plants and produce . The float also have a typical urban garden setting with plastic soft drink bottles used for planted vegetables .

Harbest Agricultural Corporation

Harbest Agricultural Corporation had a wide array of agricultural products ranging from greenhouse technology , hydroponics, fertilizers , seeds among others.

Del Monte, Philippines float showcased different products of the company . The float had green, red and yellow ornamentation attached to the float .

There are 10 participating Quezon City high school  at the street dancing contest

Ernesto Rondon High School

The students wore a stylized ethnic costume with green headdress and logo of Quezon City .

Bagong Silangan High School

The students were from the SPA – Special Program in the Arts from grade 7,8,9 and 10

They wore recycled dress made from corn husk, newspaper, spoon , CD, candy wrapper , bottle caps , straw and sacks .

Tandang Sora High School

Tandang Sora High School students wore recycled plastics head gear and accessories

70th Annual Orchid Show Schedule ofLectures and Seminar

The Philippine Orchid Society in cooperation with Quezon City government , Quezon Memorial Circle authorities will be having their annual show from February 24 to March 7 , 2016 at the Hardin ng mga Bulaklak ( Flower Garden ) within Quezon Memorial Circle .

Daily lecture will start of February 25, 2016 and there will be a supplemental Fancy and Bantam Chicken show by Philippine Bantam and Fanciers’ Association  from March 5 and 6, 2016 .

There will be a minimal entrance fees of Php 20.00 students and senior citizens with valid ID’s and Php 30 for the general public .

This year’s annual sponsors includes Del Monte , Philippines , Department of Tourism , Pioneer Epoxy with  Manila Bulletin , Philippine Star as media partners.
