Trat’s Bar and Grill Restaurant hosted a 2-day Food Tasting Festival on January 12 and 13 ( Thursday and Friday ) for the first 200 walk-in customers . The event highlighted some of the new menus to be offered by the restaurant .
We took the opportunity to sample the new sample dishes. January 12 – sample soup was Maya-maya a type of local fish which is popular – We just ordered rice Php 15.00 per cup and freshly squeezed lemonade juice which cost Php 40.00. According to Chef Angelo , the restaurant will be selling the maya-maya head soup and bulalo soup for Php 80.00 per order.

Some of the walk-ins were residents of Goodwill 1 and 2, Barangay Bagbag residents , Kingspoint Subdivision , Holy Child Academy ( Kingspoint branch) faculties and staffs , some came as far as Barangay San Bartolome and tricycle drivers of the place.

Saw one of my former classmate Darwin Arnuco together with his friends who also ate there. He is one of the ‘suki’ regular customer at the restaurant.

Holy Child Academy staffs and teachers were among the early bird during the second day .
The same group also organized a Kingspoint Community Food Tour a few years ago with the aim to promote the area as an ideal food hub for the residents of the place.

We also had the chance to meet Chef Jose Angelo S. Cerdon ( Manager ) of the Trat’s Catering Services- Aside from tasty grilled barbecue , isaw and sizzling plate . The restaurant also had a good selection of pancit ( noodles dishes ) . They can cater for a minimum pax of around 30 to 50 to as many as 1,000 people at any event.
