Cafe Arabelle opened its doors to the public in 2015 , Most of the menus are Italian inspired , Intercontinental and Filipinos dishes . The interior is very rustic with live green plants , machuca tiles , wooden tables and chairs in natural colors adds beauty to its rustic old world charm.

Arabelle menu

Café Arabelle was named after the daughter of the owners. The proprietor and manager was there to give us a brief on the restaurant’s concept and food.

The menu board offers American, Italian -inspired , Intercontinental dishes and give them their own twist to make it suitable for the Filipino taste. They were also one of the first restaurant at Solenad to offer buffet promos.  Sitting capacity inside was between 50 to 60 persons with additional 20 more outside .

grilled pancetta

Grilled Pancetta is simply cured grilled bacon and wrapped in asparagus ( Italian version ). The focus is really on how this happens. This can be done simply with salt, but spices and other seasonings were added to infuse the pancetta with particular flavors. Vegetables such as asparagus , carrots add colors and additional flavor to the dish

Reflections and Moral Lessons

There were some mix emotions before the winners were announced. Some members of Team Tanders thought it was Team Pia who won the overall team building challenge . We all did our best and just enjoyed the team building activities.

Just as what out team leader Mr. Orlee Pasion said ” STOP, LOOK and LISTEN “. We may have our differences , but as a team settling our differences , combining our talent, communication, intelligence and patience -Makes Wonders.

That makes this team building activities closer. All of us became friends at the end of the journey .

Collectors from all over the world have a reason to share their valuable collectible items such as stamps, coins, postcards , die cast toys , key chains , anime related stuffs, comics and among others .

some of the popular items and collectibles

They can start by simply creating an account at the http://collectorshive.com/  by registering one of your emails and /or the fastest option is by linking your existing Facebook account to Collectorshive . Aside from showcasing their own collection, one can catalog  and share their collections to fellow collectors from around the globe.

One can also buy and sell items at the site.  The site’s theme is Save, Share and Socialized with your collectors community , all for FREE !

Unlike people in other social media sites and platforms, Collector’s Hive aims to build a wholesome community and trusted  collectors with no biases or honest transaction.

Collections allow people to relived their childhoods, to connect themselves to a period in history or to a time , they feel strongly about .

Their collections may help them to ease insecurity and anxiety about loosing a part of themselves or memories of the past era.

We think that this will be a great site not only sharing one’s passion for collecting items, but also meeting new collectors with similar passion.

Another feature of the site is the mobile/android app you can download it at google play store for FREE.

Categories includes bottles, breweriana (brewery name or brand name), collectible and trading cards, comics, currency, electronics, fashion, lamps, pens and writing instruments, petroliana ( gas stations or the petroleum industry), recognition, sewing, souvenir and memorabilia, stamps, tobacciana (anything about cigarettes and tobacco products) ,toys and many more.

How to showcase / Upload your Collection ( Step by Step Procedure)

1.) ( Showcase Collection ) if you have your own collection like stamps , coins, banknotes , anime related stuffs, toys , postcards , you may try to take photos using camera phones or any camera.

2.) (Find Your Missing Piece) start to browse the catalog and try to find the categories which fit your personal collection .

3.) (Meet Collectors with Similar or Same Interests) Tru Collectors Hive , one can meet fellow collectors with same or similar interests. Like stamp , coin , collecting clubs.

4.) (Explore or Navigate Collectors Catalog) One can view the items or collectibles .

Collections

We started collecting McDonald’s Happy Meal toys since late 1980’s . Happy Meal Toys back then was single color and few items. Sometimes are are not part of the promotional items – They are bought separately . Unfortunately, All of our Mc Donald Happy Meal toys that we collected were lost over the years and the only ones left in good conditions were bought in the late 1980’s , we have the Garfield car set (4 pieces ) way back in 1988 . Mc Donald’s Happy Meal collectors would have an annual catalog where mint and rare toys are featured .

Collecting other fast food chain promotional toy items soon followed , among the popular ones are Jollibee , Burger King , Wendy’s , KFC and 7/11

jbstarwars_zpsqmh5rnvg

This is a two piece set of Walky Talkies R2 D2 and C-3PO Figure complete with China -made batteries issued by Jollibee Food Corporation for the Philippine market in time for the release of Star Wars Episode 2 movie Attack of the Clones around May 2002 – This set was not a regular item and was bought separately upon purchase of Jollibee value meals . This was initially sold at Php 299 or around $8.00 at that time.

Now, the same items being sold at an Ebay site would cost around $39 Australian dollars. Unfortunately , We only bought 1 set of this item.

Jollibee is also synonymous to Kiddie Meals . Jollibee toys are sometimes more collectible compared to Mc Donalds and other international brands. One reason is that Jollibee Kiddie Meal toys are issued mostly in the Philippines and countries where large Filipino expats lived. We used to meet the marketing head and promotions several years back and the toys are more limited in quantities compared to the international brands.

simpsons1_zpsumhg1jig

Simpson Family – Burger King- Philippines used to issue collectible promotional toys, which is called Burger King Jr. Meal Toys – This 10 piece family set comes with a special promotion with 1 Homer Simpson figure ( chef with burned face)  that was raffled -off to lucky 1,000 customers way back in 2001 – This comes with minimum purchase.

There were a lot of good toy sets that was issued by Burger King and Filipino collectors went crazy over the nice looking toys , plastic were durable but these toys does not come CHEAP . The value meal package were a little more expensive compared to the two other popular restaurant chains. Eventually, Burger King -Philippines discontinued the issuance of the toys and concentrated on promotional items instead .

mdewan1_zpsv7wrodty

MC Donald 4 piece school set – This was issued with the intention of selling the dual functional toy set – One comes with note pad , stamp pad ,  pencil sharpener and this also comes with ruler .

This is one of the most saleable items for the year .

This are just few of the items that i would like to share with my fellow collectors , This set are not that expensive, But this will be forever cherish in our memories .

Searching Catalog– site have categories in which one can neatly arrange their collections. Stamps are popular collectible items and on the bucket list.
