Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) in partnership with FUNtastic Philippines had a successful unveiling ceremonies held at the lobby area of the Manila Central Post Office. The corporation chose to launch the Philippine lakes as their design in its 2018 National Stamp Collecting Month to proudly promote our country’s beautiful tourist spots. Graphic Artist Vic Serevo designed the lake on stamps.

Funtastic Philippines a group of amateur and professional photographers provided the Philippine Lake photos of the following: Lake Danum (Photographer – Ramirez Duque) located in Sitio Patay; Lake Balinsasayao (Photographer – Premier Elipe) located within the Balinsasayao Twin Lakes; Mt. Pinatubo Crater Lake (Photograher – Mark Albert Angelo Cruz) found near the boundaries of Pampanga and Tarlac Provinces; Gabawan Lake (Photographer – Christan Pago) located in Albay, Southeast of Manila; Lake Apo (Photographer – Premier Elipe) located in the city of Valencia in Bukidnon province; and Lake Sebu (Photographer – Len Jingco) found in Alah Valley Region, South Cotabato.

Mr. Elcias Bugsad ( impersonator of President Rodrigo Duterte)
Mr. Elcias Bugsad is taxi driver who hails from Davao. He became an instant social media celebrity early part of this year because of his funny antics and who memorized many of the president’s most quotable quotes and mimicked him almost perfectly.

 Among the highlights of the celebration included the launching of the 2018 National Stamp Collecting Month (NSCM) stamp exhibition entitled “Re-Collection” featuring sentimental pieces of stamp stamp collectors in the country.
This also marks the 251st Anniversary of the Philippine Postal Service, which is among the oldest in Asia.

Among special guests of honor included Mr. Philip Salvador, Mr. Christopher Lawrence ” BONG ” Go ( former Special Assistant to the President ).
Starting today, stamps, souvenir sheets and official first day cover will be available at the Philatelic Counter in Manila and major post offices in the country.
PHLPost will also host other activities such as Cagayan De Oro Stamp Exhibit and Internal Philately Training (Nov. 13-14); PHLately Bridging Generations Forum (Nov. 17); and Museum Groundbreaking, MOA Signing, and Stamp Bazaar (Nov.23) to celebrate the 2018 NSCM.
