12 Fun Things to Do at the Toy Convention 2019

Toy Convention 2019 is one of the most attended event in this part of Asia. It never fails to capture anyone’s interest, hobbies and those young at heart.

There were more than 300 stalls inside the convention with hundreds of exhibitor, food stalls, movie premiere, meet and greet, toy exhibit, performances, cosplayers, sellers among others.

12.) Meet and Greet Famous, Budding Comic Artists– One of the most visited comic book artist at the Toy Convention 2019 is the booth of Mr. Pol Medina creator of the famous Pugad Baboy series among others. There were also international comic illustrators, artists and self published comics.

11.) Krem Top booth – ideal partner for coffee and coffee shake. The company provided small cup with free sip of their instant coffee with kreme top for those visiting their booth.

10.) Collectors Hive – an online community for collectors. Those who visited their booth had a chance to win some free toys, stickers and key chains.

8.) Photo Booth– One cannot miss the fun for selfies and groupies. There were also on the spot raffles, contest and special freebies to lucky visitor.

7.) World Cosplay Summit’s Philippine leg finals was held. This contest brings together some of the best cosplayers in the country to compete for a chance to represent the Philippines in the World Cosplay Summit 2019 in Japan. One can have a fun time having their photos taken together with their favorite cosplayers.

6.) Life-size statues and Batman statue– having large life-size statues and large batman will surely pop-up one’s adrenaline.

5.) Celebrity Spotting– There were many local, international celebrities spotted at the convention. One can also have their photo opportunities and autograph taken for special ticket holders.

4.) Bargain Sales – Several toy sellers, dealers, toy company at the convention. Some are giving away discounts ranging from 10% to as much as 50% discount on their toys or items for sale.

Ms. Fanny Kao is from Taiwan ( Republic of China) and make beautifully crafted toy figurines. She also created a limited edition Lonely Linus. This is her first time to participate at the toy convention in the Philippines. She also had a collaboration with Mr. Daniel Yu.

Mr. Daniel Yu from Singapore

Mr. Daniel Yu is an artist, sculptor, toy creator. He has been creating his toys inspired from Chinese mythical creatures, ghost, lunar cleric and lunar creeps for the past 6 years. This is his first time attending the toy convention in the country.

3.) Toy Exhibits – There are more than 80 toy groups and thousands of toys on display at the 2nd floor of SMX Convention Center.

2.) Happy Garaje – The booth had an interesting postcards, book marks and toy maker from Cebu . The husband and wife tandem is known for their wonderful works of art and nice toy figurine. The postcards were sold for just Php 50.00

1.) Philippine Garrison – The group had partnered with Make a Wish foundation and they have a photo booth where one can donate money for the causes of the foundation.
