Highlights of the Postal Heritage Talks and Tour

Philippine Philatelic Federation in partnership with walkwithchan, heritage groups, Pilipinas Philately, Philippine Postal Corporation had a highly successful postal talks and tour held last saturday ( September 21) at the main lobby of the Manila Central Post office.

The highlights of the tour includes the participation of Urban Sketchers members who went to join the activity by sketching important architectural details of the post office. There were also a large group of students from Catholic Filipino Academy of Cubao, University of Santo Tomas faculties, Polytechnic University of the Philippines students , tourism guides and other cause oriented groups.

Reader digest and eco bag were given to the early birds courtesy of Philippine Postal Corporation while stamp packs were given by Professor Micheal “Igue” dela Fuente and Mrs. Josefina T. Cura of the Philippine Philatelic Federation and founder of Filipinas Stamp Collectors’ Club.

The next FREE postal talks and tour will be held next month October 19, 2019 saturday from 9:00 am to 12nn. Do not forget to bring your own water. Candies and biscuits for sharing with fellow participants and indigent children within Liwasang Bonifacio area.

Eyeball of Bottle Collectors Philippines at Calvo Memorabilia and Bottle Museum

It was an overcast weather last September 15 when members of Bottle Collectors of the Philippines ( Mga Lumang Bote) FB group have their eyeball and informal meet at the historic Calvo Memorabilia and Bottle Museum within the historic Escolta street in the heart of old downtown Manila.

The group had about a thousand members who collects different kinds of bottles ranging from soft drink brands, milk, beer, wine, medicine among others.

Eyeball and Meeting

The assembly started around 12:00 noon time when members arrived at the mezzanine area of Calvo Memorabilia and Bottle Museum. This is a private collection from the Teotico family.

The informal meeting was presided by Mr. Mark Anthony Kyle Gianan aka Krazy Kyle but more popularly known as “Pinoy Picker“.

Unfortunately some members left before having a group photo. It was a wonderful experience meeting fellow bottle collectors.
