Philippine Native Conservation Society Inc. (PNPCSI) together with University of the Philippines -Tourism Institute conducted a whole day tour and walking tour at the Institute of Botany-Binhi Tree Park last September 22, 2019 sunday.

The aim of the project is to train tree walk guides on the basics of tree walk and familiarization of the site.

However, PNPCSI members are already conducting tours at the University of the Philippines campus as early as 2008 which includes old buildings and in partnership within different organizations and Wild Bird Club of the Philippines.

University of the Philippines -Institute of Biology Arboretum project was funded by Energy Development Corporation is about 1 hectare site which aims to preserve indigenous, endemic, native trees and plants.

The training started past 8:30 am with short introduction of the mission and vision and projects of the society.

The arboretum is a living repository of more than 100 species of native trees and plants.

The group was able to have a mock tour within the arboretum area and finished the short training by 4:00 pm.
