Cactus Moment at Evia Lifestyle Center

National Cactus and Succulent Organization of the Philippine Incorporated (NCSOPI ) in partnership with Evia Lifestyle Center presents to the general public the “ Cactus Moment” a weekend of urban lifestyle gardening from June 29 and 30, 2019.

There will be free lecture, workshop and talks on June 29 and June 30, 2019

June 29 Saturday -11:30 am -Basic Care of Cactus and Succulent by Mr. Ogie Malabanan

June 29 Saturday -2:00 pm – Terrarium Basic Workshop by Mr. Wilson Angel Simuangco ( Free materials for the first 15 participants)

June 29 Saturday – 4:30 pm- onwards -Games, Raffles and Trivia

June 30 Sunday  – 10:30 am – Plant for Small Spaces by Mr. Alber Howell Tang

June 30 Sunday – 2:00 pm – Mini Dish Garden Workshop by Mr. Francis Karl Calica ( free materials for the first 15 participants)

There will be 25 booths selling different kinds of cacti,succulents, pots, fertilizers, air plants, ornamental plants, soil media, memorabilia items and others.

There is no entrance fees and the general public is invited to participate. The event is from 10:00 am to 11:00pm saturday 10:00am to 10:00pm sunday

Evia Lifestyle Mall is located at Daang Hari, Alanza Dos, Las Piñas City.

Winners at the Cactus, Succulent and Bromeliad Show at SM MOA

Big Winners of cactus, succulent and bromeliad show were announced few days after the grand festival. The event was organized by Philippine Nurserymen Association and BG event management in partnership with SM Mall of Asia and SM Supermalls with media partner Manila Bulletin and Agriculture magazine.

There were more than 50 stalls selling different kinds of cacti, succulents, orchids, plastic pots, fertilizers, ornamental plants, bromeliads among others.

Cactus, Succulent and Bromeliad festival was successful that at least 50,000 went there during the event.

Big Crowd at Bromeliad, Cactus and Succulent Show

Big crowd had visited the opening of the bromeliad , cactus and succulent show at the SM Mall of Asia, Atrium,Pasay City.

The exhibit will also showcase some of the newly created hybrid by Filipinos. There are also on the spot photography contest.

The show began with ceremonial ribbon cutting with 60 booths selling different kinds of plant from ordinary cacti, bromeliads, tillandsia, gardening supplies, fertilizers, pots, orchids, carnivorous plants among others.

There were also daily talks, seminar and on the spot raffle for those attending the event.

One Million Plant

One of the highlight of the show, is the rare variegated form of Sanseviera rorida variety “Boy Ganigan” Regale. It is roughly around $19,440.86 conversion rate.

The show is in partnership with Manila Bulletin , Agriculture magazine and Arids and Aroid Events Management. For those who wanted to come, There is no entrance fees and the show will until June 23, 2019 Sunday.

A Gift to the World: Bromeliad, Cactus and Succulent Show

The Philippines is known for its Flora Biodiversity, in the world or Horticulture the Philippines is very well known for its Horticulture contributions, biggest example would be Vanda sanderiana and Phalaenopsis aphrodite. The show will be from June 20 to 23, 2019 at Artium Area, SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City.

These endemic Philippine Orchids have been the primary parents for most of the best and well known Foreign Hybrids across the globe. Seeing this worldwide fame of our endemic species as A Gift to the World. It is about time that Philippine Growers and Hybridizers show to the world. For those coming to the show, there is no entrance fees and there will be daily lectures, games and plant auction.

The Cactus, Succulent, and Bromeliad Festival will be held at the SM Mall of Asia Atrium in Pasay City from June 20 to 23. Lectures will be held at 1:00PM to 4:00PM
