Early History

Bustos was a part of the town of Baliuag as its barrio during the Spanish Period. The town was separated from Baliuag by a tragic incident when around 1860, a rainy Sunday, a group of natives from Bustos with babies in their arms were on their way to the church  for baptismal when they drowned when the raft or planceta they were riding capsized while crossing the wild river of Angat  due to the strong water current. The issuance met with high regards especially to worldwide stamp collectors collecting Chinese Zodiac stamps. The stamp is said to be available at the Main Post Office in Liwasang Bonifacio in Manila starting last December 15 , 2016.

Php 18  face value denomination is meant to mailed in the provinces or even in other parts of Asia and not within Metro Manila , Plus the Php 45.00 souvenir sheet is also meant to be mailed for other countries.  Mailed a couple of postcards last December 16 and some of them still did not arrive at the country of destination .

2017 Is a Fire Rooster Year

In Chinese element theory, each zodiac year is associated with one of five elements: Gold (Metal), Wood, Water, Fire, or Earth, which means that a Fire Rooster, for example, comes once every 60-year cycle.

What “Fire Rooster” Means

It is theorized that a person’s characteristics are decided by their birth year’s zodiac sign and element. So there are five types of Roosters, each with different characteristics
