Do not forget to visit the bazaar and exhibit area, The show site is at Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife Rescue Center in Quezon City.

The plant bazaar is open from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm until February 10, 2019 !!!

 

FREE Agriculture Seminars for 2019

Good News to those urban gardeners, young hobbyists, millennials, the young at heart in the field of agriculture and those who wanted to engaged in agricultural entrepreneurship.

These seminars are open to all interested individuals. These will be conducted at the Agricultural Training Institute Central Office, Elliptical Road, Diliman, Quezon City. Session starts at 8:00AM to 5:00PM, but come early for the registration and for better seats!

Attendees are encouraged to bring clean, empty 1.5-liter plastic bottles which will be donated to the ATIng Gulayan ng DA garden.

Exciting Features and Bazaar at Philippine Plant Festival 2019

Philippine Plant Festival 2019 is just barely one month away, This is much anticipated plant show and bazaar was organized by D’true Philippine Horticultural Society Inc. 1976 under the leadership of President Remedios Rodis Remedios -Santelices and Vice President May Tolentino  in cooperation with Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife Center in Quezon City with media partners Manila Bulletin, Walkwithchan and  blogging community.

Philippine Hoticultural Society Incorporated in partnership with Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Biodiversity Management Bureau, Ninoy Aqino Parks and Wildlife Rescue Center, Manila Bulletin is inviting hobbyists, students, plant enthusiasts, collectors to attend the 3-day bazaar from November 16, 17 and 18 ( friday , saturday and sunday) from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

There will be free lectures and other activities which will lead to Philippine Plant Festival 2019.

On-the-Spot Cactus and Succulent Dish Garden Making Workshop and Competition

Watch and learn as our Dish Garden expert Mr. Wilson Angel show you how to create stunning dish gardens to suit your fancy.

Immediately after the workshop, an On-the-Spot Dish Garden competition follows.

Here are the simple rules for the competition:

1. This is OPEN TO ALL

2. Participants should bring their own materials (container, plants, accessories, soil mix, etc)

3. Plants to be used are cactus and succulents only, no artificial plants. Participants may use dish garden accessories such as natural rocks or driftwoods.

4. The size of the container should NOT exceed 8 inches in inside diameter and only up to 4 inches deep.

5. There are no limit as to the number of entries per participant.

Announcement of winners and awarding follow in the afternoon.

1st Prize – P700 plus Plaque
2nd Prize – P300 plus Plaque
3rd Prize – P200 plus Plaque
