The Colors of Naga Excursions
Naga X is colorful, vibrant and nurturing

Colorful. Naga is the center of the biggest festivity in the region, the Peñafrancia Festival. The colors of Bicolano life – spicy, expressive, diverse- are all here.
Vibrant. Its nightlife throbs with music and good, clean fun. Progressive, Naga City is one of the fastest growing in the country. Its people are active, friendly and lively.

Nurturing. It enjoys a nearness to nature, and has an environment that is relatively free from the ills of pollution and crowdedness. It nurtures talent, nourishes innovation, and encourages participation and creativity.
Accessible. Naga X destinations are easily accessible, and because of their strategic locations, more choices are available for vacations that are beyond the usual. Suits a wide range of needs.

During the launch of the Naga Excursions (Naga X) packages, Naga Mayor John Bongat said bulk of the P1 billion or P400 million to P600 million would go to the Naga River Rehabilitation Project.

Naga X, a tourism brand, targets group travel and positions Metro Naga as an excursion away from destinations in the region, as well as presenting Metro Naga as a premiere tourism destination.

Naga X packages will appeal to all visitors, including domestic tourists, balikbayans and foreigners:

Groups of friends, families and relatives looking for a fun and meaningful way to spend their vacations together, experiencing the best of what nature and culture have to offer.

Marian devotees who seek to strengthen or revisit the roots of their faith, experiencing the divine in a distinctively Bicolano way. Naga, as a tourism service center, has also been given special status after being declared ‘Pilgrim City” under Presidential Executive Order 33, issued in September 2010.
Professional, civic and religious organizations who wish to hold their gatherings in a setting that is peaceful and secure, meet their requirements for the smooth handling of conferences, conventions, meetings and events, and at the same time affords them easy access to popular recreation sites and accommodation establishments.

Naga City board members and councilors

Portion of the P1 billion estimated budget, Bongat said, would go to other projects such as repair and construction of roads, bridges, promenades and walkways.  There are also plans of building a Secretary Robredo museum and a convention center.

“Metro Naga is now gearing up and positioning itself as the tourism hub for Region V,” said Bongat, who is also the chairman of Metro Naga Development Council (MNDC).

MNDC is an alliance of 16 local government units in the Province of Camarines Sur that seeks to bring about accelerated, equitable and sustainable growth and development by maximizing the resources of its members, following an integrated development framework.
