Winners at the Pinoy Pets-Tival Fashion Show in Robinson’s Novaliches

Winners of the pet fashion show which is part of the Pinoy Pets-Tival were chosen by a panel of judges which composed of representations from UP -MMDA Rescue Unit, Quezon City Veterinarian office and representative from Robinson’s –Novaliches.

2nd runner-up – #7 Riza and Oreo garnered 95.5% with Php 1,000 worth of gift certificate, gift pack from pet one and certificate.

The venue of Pinoy Pets-Tival was at the Trade Hall of Robinson’s Novaliches.

The grand prize winner # 25 KC and Candy got 99% score. The grand prize winner got Php 3,000 worth of gift certificate from Robinson’s Novaliches, gift pack and certificate.

The next pet show and blessing will be held on October 6, 2019 which will coincides the ” World Animal Day” in all Robinson’s mall branches nationwide.

8 Fun Activities at the Pinoy Pets-Tival in Robinson’s Novaliches

Robinson’s –Novaliches in partnership with Happy Pets Club, Handyman, Pet One, University of the Philippines MMDA K-9 Rescue Unit, Quezon City Veterinary office, Bow Wow,Pedigree among others. The event was a half day of fun and thrill for pet owners in this side of Metro Manila.

8.) Pet Strolling –  Meeting fellow pet owners, having a chance to share stories and having new friends.

7.) Free sample of dog food – Pet One and Handyman staff gave away free dog food samples to those who pre-registered at the site.

6.) Photo Booth – A photo booth was installed near the entrance for pet owners and their pets to pose a photo or selfie during the event.

5.) Pet Buffet and Treats Corner– Several dog and cat food brands had participated at the buffet. An owner can come back to refill whenever their pet dog or cat is hungry.

4.) FREE Talk on Dog Obedience –  A short talk was given by the UP-MMDA K-9 Rescue Unit on basic handling of dogs and disaster preparedness among others.

3.) FREE Anti-Rabies Vaccinations- Puppies and kitten were given check ups, anti -rabies and consultation by the city veterinary office.

2.) Design Your Own Pet Bandana for the first 100 participants- A pre-registration was held at the trade hall shortly before 1:00 pm. One can design their own bandana for their beloved pet dogs and cats.

1.) Pet Fashion Show– This is the highlight of the Pets-Tival were 45 participants together with their pets entered the fashion show. The theme is ” Filipino” and owners and their pets wore costumes or dress which are locally made.

Unlike other pet shows there is no ENTRANCE FEE. There are 31 booths. The event is open from 10:00AM-10:00PM.

I have met a fellow pet, plant and orchid grower and hobbyist Ms. Mitch Pellicer during the event. This was like a mini eyeball and reunion for us.

One day event aims to bond cat lovers, enthusiasts, owners and the general public.

The event featured a cat competition, parades, veterinarian consultations, cat food sampling, talks, pet adoptions and on -the spot raffles and games.

Vigor and Sage is based in The Netherlands which specializes on cat, dog food and healthy options. Their booth gave away some sample packs of cat food for all those participants who pre-registered on site. They gave away Ginseng Well -Being ( fresh chicken and seaweed ) and Lily Root Beauty ( fresh salmon and seaweed) 40 grams.

Ripple Clean is a surface cleaner all natural plant based cleaner. They have green tea + peppermint +lime , Mediterranean Fig + Ginger, Fresh Bamboo + Orange and Fragrance Free

There were about 50 to 60 cat breeds, hybrid, mix breed and even puspin ( pusang pinoy) entered in the cat competition.

The jam-packed site had several stalls selling pet products, hygiene packs  and play items. Organizers are now looking forward for the next MeowCON Manila event.

Philippine Hamsters Owner Society Celebrates 7th Anniversary

Philippine Hamsters Owner Society (PHOS) celebrated their 7th anniversary at the 3rd Floor, Function room of Star Mall, EDSA Shaw, Mandaluyong City.

There were guppies, syrian hamsters, white mice, sugar gliders, rabbits, flowerhorn, snakes, frogs and other small pets.

There were raffles and swap meet among members of the society and  is open to the general public.

My friend Achilles went there at the show yesterday also saw some gerbils on display and pet supplies for sale.

At the end of the two-day exhibit and bazaar, Olongapo Rabbit and Rodents Club won “Best Hamster Group ” and ” Best Hamster Display“.
