I Wish They Taught Money in High School
This is a very colorful book with simple text and lovely illustration
One of the things I love about this book is that the authors,Clarissa Seriña-De La Paz , Ms. Sharon W. Que and edited by Ms. Katherine Tiuseco presented all their ideas in the simplest manner possible. I like how they relate to their readers by using the right set of words and writing in an ordinary ways. The book encourages everyone to find the best value for their money. Based on the illustrations and simple words and calculation , Their main goal is to reach-out the teenagers ( high school students , young adults , professionals ) who might not be properly taught on how to save and invest their money.
I Wish They Taught Money in High School So I’m Not Dependent on My Paycheck – ( First Part with 81 pages )
” Money was never a big motivation for me, excerpt as a way to keep score. The real excitement is playing the game. ” – Mr. Donald Trump
The first part would help the readers not to be dependent on the monthly salary that they receive. What the author is trying to tell everyone is that investment is the key to having a stable financial condition plus try to establish a good credit standing among the community .
I Wish They Taught Money in High School So I Can Start My Own Business Right Away ( Second Part 58 pages)
Ms. Sharon Que showed the importance of taking risks when it comes to starting one’s business. Her power sentences are: “Do whatever it takes in every moment.” and “Habitual 100% doers are instant winners.”
Pricing
I do not have an idea on the number of books ( quantity) that were printed by the publishing company, since it affects the pricing of the book. I wish they printed more and make it hardbound so it can be read by more people ( softbound books tend get easily worn-out due to usage) and distributed it to libraries and even public schools ( where financial literacy is also needed) . The price range of the book is Php 500 which is a bit on the middle- range ( some financial literacy / lifestyle upgrade / inspirational books ) cost cheaper with almost same number of pages, quality of the paper , book binding, celebrity book author involved.
The authors are Filipinos and the financial setting is based on Philippine experiences. Ms. Sharon Que is a certified entrepreneur at a tender age of 10 and is an inspiring model for future entrepreneur . The book is properly distributed all over the country by leading bookstores , online store and social networking site like face book. This make the book easier to buy compared to other financial-lifestyle upgrade books .
Overall: I will give a rating of 8.25 out of 10 ! Which is a must for everyone!!!!
The book is available at Fully Booked branches in Alabang, BGC, Rockwell, Greenbelt, Katipunan and Gateway, and Merriam Bookstores in Binondo ( Carvajal street) and Pasay Road. The book will soon be available at National Bookstore and Power Books.
Note : I received the book above for free in exchange for an honest review.
