LG Partnership with Intramuros Administration in Showcasing AI Technology

LG Philippines which is one of the leading global technologies felt their presence as they simultaneously unveiled their newest line of state of the art OLED Tv’s, putting side by side with the rich and colorful history together with tomorrow”s technology.

Intramuros administration (IA) the government agency tasked with the restoration, development and promotion of the national cultural treasure, celebrated its 40th anniversary in the recently opened Museo de Intramuros.  The event started past 2:30 pm with a short tour of the galleries of the museum. The tour was led by Mr. Dino Santos ( curator ) of the museum.

To show its support in adding a creative touch on how Philippine history is showcased, LG Philippines donated 6 units of its TVs to the museum.

This is with close collaboration with TBA Studios, the folks behind the hit films Heneral Luna and Goyo, a special AVP was also made for LG, featuring the Museo de Intramuros.  Director JP Habac and Cinematographer Pong Ignacio from TBA were personally awe-struck with how vivid the color rendition is on the LG OLED TV.

LG’s newest line of TVs is powered by deep learning technology now embedded in the new a9 Gen2 and a7 Gen2 processors. This allows the TV to dramatically optimize both visuals and sound for every content.

You can now talk to your TV by pressing the microphone button on the remote. LG’s ThinQ AI listens to your commands and executes them, even those based on earlier conversations. Tasks range from simple TV controls, to weather-related questions, and even follow-up questions based on your initial command.

The flagship model uses an award-winning OLED Panel Technology that works seamlessly with Deep Learning Technology. On the other hand, sound is boosted by an intelligent algorithm that can mix up two channel audio, delivering 5.1 virtual surround sound.

HDR is possible with the help of Dolby Atmos for delivering incredibly realistic sound as the TV intelligently fine-tunes content compatible with Dolby Vision. The TV supports HDMI 2.1, which means users can enjoy 4K content at 60 FPS. It also supports Low Latency Mode (ALLM), Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), and Enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC).

6 Important Galleries at Museo de Intramuros

Museo de Intramuros had been officially open to the public last April 29, 2019 with Department of Tourism secretary Ms. Bernadette Romulo-Puyat, former Department of Tourism secretary Gemma Cruz – Araneta, Miss Universe 1973 Maria Margarita Moran among others in attendance.

The museum is managed by the Intramuros Administration (IA), which is an attached agency of the Department of Tourism (DOT), Museo de Intramuros is located in two important reconstructions inside the walled city. the San Ignacio Church and Convent and the Mission House of the Society of Jesus.

The in-house exhibition were curated by Ms. Esperanza Gatbonton, Mr. Gino Gonzales, Ms. Cecilia dela Paz, Ms. Santiago Pilar and Mr. Martin Tinio.

6 Galleries or Exhibition Area

Museo de Intramuros have six sections or galleries : the Immaculate Conception, the Religious Order, the Patronato Real and establishments of Parishes, Religious Colonial Paintings, the establishment of parish and sacred vessels, and The Indio Response. Throughout these sections, you will be able to find different kinds of artwork, including paintings, sculptures, and antique items from hundreds of years ago.

The public is also advise not to sit and touch the statues within the exhibit area. Observe silence and proper guidelines.

This statue is one of the crown jewels of the Intramuros administration. The statue is taken out during the annual marian procession.

The museum has over 7,500 pieces which were accumulated for 40 years from different parts of the country.

The Museo de Intramuros is located in the reconstructions of San Ignacio Church and the Mission House of the Society of Jesus in Intramuros.
