Stunning Landscape Exhibits at the Los Baños Horticultural Society 2018

The landscape exhibit executed by Mr. Bong Pionela and Mrs. Delia Pionela emerged as first place in the landscape exhibit at the Los Baños Horticultural Society 2018 mid-year show.

The exhibition and trade fair bazaar is located at the Senior Social Hall within the University of the Philippines, Los Baños, Laguna province.

Aside from the landscape exhibits and plant display, There are over 50 stalls selling different items ranging from potted plants, orchids, fruit trees, flowering annuals, cacti and succulents, fertilizers and a trade fair area.

This is an exhibit area where winners of Best cacti, Best bromeliad and variegated plants are displayed.

The exhibition and trade fair area opens from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm starting tomorrow until October 14, 2018.

Los Baños Horticulture Society Plant Show

Plant lovers, garden enthusiasts and hobbyists will be happy to know that Los Baños Horticulture Society will be conducting the annual garden show slated from April 13 to 22, 2018. The venue of the show will be at University of the Philippines Los Baños, Senior Social Hall.

Plant feature are Adenium and Philodendron . Few years ago there was a plant craze on Adenium obesum hybrids aka called Bangkok Kalachuchi.

There will a commercial area where one can buy plants, orchids, agriculture products and fruit trees.

There are also individual plant competition, landscape exhibits and lectures on weekends.

Entrance fees is Php30  for the general public and Php 20 for students and senior citizens with valid ID’s.

Los Baños Horticultural Society Show 2017: There is Gold In Recycling

“There is Gold in Recycling” is the theme at the ongoing Los Baños Horticulture Show 2017 at the University of the Philippines -Los Baños ( UPLB) Senior Social Hall area.

This is the first of the two shows. The next garden show is slated later part of the year.

Aside from these beautiful landscapes, There are individual plant competition, trade fair of local products,plant bazaars and lectures from the garden experts.

One can also take a quick stroll on the University of the Philippines campus and admire the mature trees, flowering plants, old buildings and take a food trip.

Among the big winners are Mr. Vicente Chin Jr. Mr. Jose Salacup

One can also buy some regional products like buko pie , handicrafts and espasol at the commercial area.

The show is until May 1, 2017 from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and There are minimal entrance fees of Php 20 for the general public and Php15 for students and senior citizens with valid ID’s.

Los Baños Horticulture Show 2017

Los Baños Horticulture Society will be having their annual show at the Senior Social Hall within University of the Philippines Los  Baños campus in Laguna.

The show will be held from April 21 until May 1, 2017 . The plant that will be featured are flowering plants and orchids.

This year’s theme is ” There’s Gold in Recycling ” The show is from 8:00am to 6:00pm. There is a minimal entrance fees of Php 20 for the general public and Php 15 for students and senior citizens with valid ID’s.

 

 

Los Baños Horticulture Society 2014 Mid-Year Show

Los Baños Horticulture Society  will be having a plant sale and exhibit from Oct 10-19, 2014 at the Seniors’ Social Garden,In University of the Philippines ,Los Baños in Laguna province  . The show will feature fruit trees and many other ornamental plants.

Ambarella or hevi (Spondias cytherea), a native of Polynesia, is a large tree botanically related to the red mombin or siniguelas. This photo is from the RC Fruit Conservation Farm in Calauan, Laguna. A potted fruiting tree of the seeded strain will be on exhibit at the Flower and Garden Show .

There will be a special lecture about propagating fruit plants in home and garden by Dr. Roberto E. Coronel , Mr. Bayani Mendones ( Farm Manager ) RC Farm on October 18, 2014.  There will be an attendance raffle after the lecture .
