PHLPOST Celebrates National Stamp Collecting Month 2018 with Stamp Launching and Exhibit

Philippine Postal Corporation ( PHLPOST ) in partnership with Philippine Philatelic Federation and stamp collectors from major stamp organizations will be having their stamp exhibition and launching tomorrow ( November 5, 2018) 8:00 am at the main lobby of the Manila Central Post Office.  The event will also highlight new stamps issue ” Philippine Lakes”  and stamp exhibition to commemorate the ” National Stamp Collecting Month” celebration.

On saturday, November 10, 2018 There will be a FREE postal heritage and operation tour within the post office.

The FREE tour will also include short talk and some freebies to lucky participant. This is in close cooperation with Philippine Philatelists and Collectibles FB group, Royal Postal Heritage Tour FB, Philippine Philatelic Federation and International Philippine Philatelic Society.

National Stamp Collecting Month – Philippines

November was declared by then President Fidel Ramos as “ National Stamp Collecting Month” Stamp collecting’s charm is its individual, tailor-made freedom to fit the desires of any collector for as much as he wishes to spend in time, money and effort.

Every year more than 500,000 different stamp issues around the world every year on different subjects.

Stamp collecting is considered as “World’s Most Fascinating Hobby”

Philpost In cooperation with Philippine Philatelic Federation, Filipino- Chinese Philatelic Club, Filipinas Stamp Collectors’ Club will be having an exhibit starting November 9 until the end of the month.

Time: 8:00 am opening of the exhibit to the public

Tour areas: Aduana, Plaza Mexico, Puerta Isabel 2 Gate and Monument, Plaza Roma, Postal Museum and Library, Manila Main Post Office

* Note – a short lecture on basic on stamp collecting will follow and tour of exhibit
