6.) International Pavilion – There are over 200 exhibitors and commercial companies from Asia, Europe and North America which participated in the exposition showcasing their products and new technologies .

With the theme, “Building Vision in the Realm of ASEAN Integration”, WORLDBEX 2015 is primarily recognized to fortify and develop the economic resilience of the construction and architectural industry among the ASEAN countries.

Among the most prominent are from China, Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, Germany, Brunei, Spain, Italy, Australia and the United States of America.

There is also a GRAND Embassy Pavilion which showcase not only their country’s tourist destination spots but a commercial trade attache and investment promotion agency. landscape architecture graduating students were also asked to transform their respective sections of the World Trade Center outdoor lawn into works of art as part of the DELAXX competition. The DELAXX competition was hosted in partnership with the Philippine Association of Landscape Architects. There is also an inter-ASEAN country ( landscape )  interpretive competition where Vietnam emerges the grand prize winner.

4.) Obra Maestra Competition – Outstanding representatives from eleven of the metro’s top design schools participated the annual competition. The Winner is chosen via the public voting and visitors stubs. Aside from bragging rights, the winner also won cash prizes.  This year’s theme is ASEAN

Interior Designers’ Gallery– The gallery which features the different works of the Philippine Institute of Interior Design members.  Guests can meet  and greet interior designers and learn more about what they can do for residential and commercial spaces. The featured artists and designers can also promote their creative styles .

2.) Architects’ Gallery– The gallery is located at the Philippine Trade Training Center  side.  Presented in the gallery are some of the country’s top architectural and design firms .

1.) Cause Oriented Groups and their Advocacies- One notable group is the HCS-Y and the Escolta Commercial Association Incorporated ( ECAI)  participating in this event.

The group wanted to preserve the Queen of Manila street ( Escolta ) and the grandeur of the old buildings and they group conduct some guided tours around the commercial district for a minimal fees.

Note: The WorldBex 2015 show will end tomorrow March 15. There is no entrance fees, However -visitors must bring their business cards and pre-registration is a must , due to the extent and scale of the event, which tend to have a long queues at the registration area.

Obra Maestra exhibit

This is part of the annual Worldbex intended for  fine arts, architecture and interior design  students from selected colleges, universities . The exhibit is dubbed ” Modern Living 2013 collection ”  The best exhibit design will win ” People’s Choice ” selected by people on their facebook account before the end of the Worldbex  . There are 9 competing schools for this year .

Eulogio  Amang  Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology  ( EARIST )exhibit showcasing  bedroom setting  with an emphasis on straight edges with smooth and slim forms of contemporary counterpart. The  artistic curves and some elements of classical style.

University of Santo Tomas

This exhibit was done by selected group of students from the College of Fine Arts and Design . The living area is an opus of olive green accent and neutral color pieces. The space is framed perfectly with period details with stillness and simplicity.

Polytechnic University of the Philippines

The dining set design is accentuated with glass and table pieces, the majestic touch of silhouette in the interior space bore a new artist idea that connects the beauty of the classic and modern concept.

A living room showcase the  paradoxy  is a design inspiration. The design is a contradictory the baroque and industrial styles are brought together in this stylish and liveable  space.

The bathroom design was a fusion of French empire motifs and the bathroom fixtures and bathtub  poses colors predominantly dark with large and masculine furniture which is a prevalent trend for 2013.

Note : I would like to invite the public to this annual event, the three hours or so spend in this exposition enriched my knowledge and feast of the eye. Until the next Worldbex 2014 !
