Big Crowd at Bromeliad, Cactus and Succulent Show

Big crowd had visited the opening of the bromeliad , cactus and succulent show at the SM Mall of Asia, Atrium,Pasay City.

The exhibit will also showcase some of the newly created hybrid by Filipinos. There are also on the spot photography contest.

The show began with ceremonial ribbon cutting with 60 booths selling different kinds of plant from ordinary cacti, bromeliads, tillandsia, gardening supplies, fertilizers, pots, orchids, carnivorous plants among others.

There were also daily talks, seminar and on the spot raffle for those attending the event.

One Million Plant

One of the highlight of the show, is the rare variegated form of Sanseviera rorida variety “Boy Ganigan” Regale. It is roughly around $19,440.86 conversion rate.

The show is in partnership with Manila Bulletin , Agriculture magazine and Arids and Aroid Events Management. For those who wanted to come, There is no entrance fees and the show will until June 23, 2019 Sunday.

Throngs of crowd from all walks of life had went to the victory and homecoming parade of Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray.

There were a lot of students from nearby schools, universities and colleges, who went and lined the parade route. Some of them have endured long hours and skipped their classes just to join the celebration.

Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray modern Filipiñiana costume with embroidered  sampaguita and anahaw palm leaves with stylized pañuelo (large handkerchief)  and butterfly  sleeves was designed by Mr. Mak Tumang’s atelier. The float had large mikimoto crown was designed by Mr. Fritz Silorio, who also did the float of Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach.

A smaller float will be created for the Araneta Center homecoming parade this coming Saturday February 24, 2019.

 

Program Activities set for Homecoming of Ms. Catriona Gray

Ms. Catriona Gray fever has been stirring up with fans creating her likeness in dolls, pastry, sketches and paintings to show their love, admiration and support for the reigning Miss Universe 2018.

There will be road closure and traffic rerouting according to MMDA and local government. Thousands of well wishers and fans will be lining the parade routes.

Press Conference

Prior to the parade, there will be a press conference prior to the parade. The press conference is strictly by invitation only.

Parade Routes

According to the Binibining Pilipinas Twitter and FB account, The parade will kick off at the Hotel Sofitel grounds within Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) in Pasay City, the float parade will proceed to Roxas Boulevard, Kalaw Avenue in Manila, Taft Avenue, Buendia Avenue at around past 2:00pm passing Manila, Pasay and end on Ayala Avenue in Makati City.

On February 23, Saturday, Catriona will have another parade, this time at the Novotel Hotel within Araneta Center, in Quezon City where her journey to the Miss Universe crown started. Festivities and parade start at 4:00 p.m.

Charity Events

Young Focus, LoveYourself PH and Smile Train, organizations closest to her heart. This is in coordination with Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. and Miss Universe organization.

Courtesy Call

A courtesy call is set for number of top officials which is led by Vice President Leni Robredo. Last year, Catriona Gray paid a short courtesy call to President Rodrigo Duterte.

Television Appearances

Ms. Catriona Gray will be guesting in several television programs and some photo shoot will be held.

Stamp Launching

Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPOST) will be launching a special stamps and first day covers on February 27, 2019 to commemorate the rare feat. However no advisory was given if she will grace the occasion.

 

 

 

 

 

Special Yoga Session at Trini Studio

Trini Yoga PH held a special Yoga sessions together with bloggers, vloggers and media.  This is not my first time joining a session, joined 3 other YOGA event before in 3 different Yoga studios north of Metro Manila. What makes this different is the sampling of three session which included Vinyasa, Yin, Sound and Mind Bath.

Trini stands for Trinity. The community stands for wellness, community and lifestyle. The studio opened last June 3, 2018 and hold session on a daily basis. They also offer group, private sessions to those living within Malate, Ermita districts in Manila, Pasay ,Parañaque and Las Piñas areas.

Yoga had been around for thousands of years and there there is a growing movement in the country for this type of classes. It is also a spiritual, ascetic discipline, a part of which, including breath control, simple meditation, adoption of specific bodily postures and is widely practiced for health and relaxation.

Vinyasa yoga has so much to do with improving circulation and alleviating congestion in the organs. Breathing is through the nose. For each movement, there is a breath. It is okey for new students to experience some difficulties controlling his/ her breath.

A short 30-minutes Vinyasa session which is defined as an intelligent sequence of postures, but most people equate it with the ability to sweat and release tensions.

Yin Yoga session by Teacher Del Lopez Baños held a 15 minutes session which which designed to help you sit longer, more comfortably in meditation by stretching connective tissue around the joints. This is also good point for stretching one’s muscles . This is a good routine for people to improve their stamina and their ability to endure long distance running.

This can also awaken one’s dormant energy and built strong chi.

Sound Bath and Aroma Session –  This is the most relaxing way to end a session. The relaxing musical presentations, which predate the birth of Jesus Christ and have been scientifically linked to reductions in stress, relaxation of mind and anxiety.

Teacher Bonn uses different kinds of metallic Tibetian bowls. Each bowls had a different tunes and are stroke on right timing.

A lot of us had almost felt asleep while mildly scent aroma gently filled the room.

a gentle massage at the head and movement of our hands.  I felt mentally and physically rested during the duration. This is different an intimate meditation and power-nap. We bloggers also needed some form of resting.

Bonn discovered yoga and an array of spiritual and healing arts when he moved to Singapore in 2010. His holistic healing practice includes Reiki and sound therapy with the use of the Himalayan singing bowls, alongside crystals and card.

22nd Agrilink 2015

Agrilink has already earned the reputation as the undisputed leader in agribusiness exhibition. for the past 22 years ! Every year, it never fails to offer surprises with the best showcase of products, information, technologies,market linkages and promotions to the whole agribusiness community and the general public. This year, Agrilink takes on another innovative spin to a different facet of agribusiness as it presents another exciting show that is sure to wow its loyal followers!

The venue will be held at the iconic World Trdae Center along Senator Gil Puyat Avenue ( Buendia ) in Pasay City .  A total of 367 companies occupying 464 indoor and retail booths joined the exhibition. This translates to an indoor exhibit area of 8,100 square meters for the main exhibition, 1,950 square meters for the retail area and 4,000 square meters for the outdoor exhibit. While most were local companies, there were also 258 square meters occupied by foreign companies from 9 countries led by France, China, Korea, Thailand, USA, Italy, Germany, Netherlands and Denmark.

There were four pavilions: the Korea Pavilions at the main exhibit area and PHILFOODEX, OPTA and AANI Pavilions in the retail area. Just like in the previous years, the Department of Agriculture had 30 regional booths and BFAR had 12 booths.

Total number of registered visitors was 25,000 over a three-day period, with an estimated 5% of first-day visitors who came back on the second and third days.

The trade fair starts from 8:00am to 5:00pm . Unlike other trade fairs , there are no entrance fees, but pre-registration is highly encourage.

Note: I am also warning those who wanted to visit the expo site to be very careful with your personal belongings , there are pickpocket
