The place is accessible and there were indoor and outdoor handcrafted cocktails and shooters aside the the sumptuous buffet dishes.

The restaurant is listed under popular food review site like ZomatoPH . What is good news is that the restaurant buffet line-up had improved. They also add their dishes everyday.

The beef salad had Thai ingredients and flavors infused with the dish. We arrived past 7:00pm and ended our buffet meal past 9:30pm . We also met a family from Kalentong and they enjoyed the dishes served at the buffet section.

Another MUST try are the organic lechon which had a crispy skin and well marinated.

Aside from pastries and do-yourself halo-halo, There are also wafer sticks, gummy candies and chocolates for children.

Savoring the Flavors of 7 Flavors Buffet and ala Carte

Savoring the flavors of the buffet meals offered by 7 Flavors Buffet and ala Carte restaurant located along A. Mabini street within San Juan City . The restaurant name was derived from 7 flavors in having something sweet, sour, salty, bitter, spicy, umami and astringent.


This is not my first time to visit this famous buffet and ala carte restaurant. This place had been getting a lot of positive reviews. Some television and movie outfits had some portion of their films shot within the confine of the establishment. I have tasted the maja blanca, carrot cake and some pastries , They are not overly sweet . There is also an area for unlimited juice drinks like orange juice or ice tea. There is also an area for do-it-yourself halo-halo and ice cream serving like vanilla, chocolate and strawberry.

Celebrity Chef Boy Logro is one of the proprietors of the restaurant, his inspiring stories are an inspiration to all.

7 Flavors Buffet Promo

The restaurant offers a lot of local and international dishes served during their weekday buffet meal which cost Php 399.99 Lunch and Php 499.99 Dinner ( Monday to Thursday )  and Php 599.00 from Friday to Sunday – Lunch Time starts at 11:00 to 2:30pm ) and Dinner between 5:30pm to 10:00pm ). There are additional 3 to 4 dishes added during the weekends.

There is ample parking space , large dining are ideal between 130 to 160 people at any given day . We decided to re-visit this restaurant during weekend. There is an ample WIFI connection.

It was a bit rainy last weekend and there are already a lot of people eating . The clientele is within San Juan, Mandaluyong , Ortigas and there are some regulars from Manila and Quezon City – This is San Juan’s best kept secret which is clean comfortable and yet affordable.

Here are some of the exciting dishes served at the buffet area.

Taco and Nachos – one had a chance to create your own taco and nachos fillings, the ground beef had a savory curry flavor , chopped tomatoes with onions salsa, cheese. This is one of our favorite appetizer or snack item .  Tacos are created by the restaurant staff and not your ordinary commercialized versions.

The beef is soft and bite size portion is big .  A special sauce is good to accompany this dish.

Aside from your regular ride apps and ride sharing taxi services. The place is fairy accessible to jeepney routes.

1.) There is an orange shuttle along Wilson street or Greenhills Shopping which ply the route. ( Php 8.00 minimum fare)

Grand Opening of Blue Post Boiling Crab and Shrimps at Greenhills , San Juan

Blue Posts Boiling Crab and Shrimps opened their 3rd Metro Manila after SM North EDSA and SM Mall of Asia .

crab chowder, spicy beef soup, garlic lemon butter shrimps with corn cobs, crab with fried garlic , fried chicken are some of the in-house specialties of the restaurant.

The rustic fisherman’s wharf inspired restaurant first have their successful restaurant chain in Davao in 2013 , where the some of the freshest ingredients like crabs, shrimps , pomelo , native chickens are sourced from nearby provinces like Davao, Zamboanga and Surigao.

The restaurant theme and foods were inspired by the flavors and cuisines of Louisiana and the popularity of boiled seafood restaurants in the United States.

Aside from good food, there is also an unlimited supply of DIY Nestle powdered juice station and bottomless pineapple drink courtesy of  Dole Philippines. One can also mix juices and form their own flavor ( mixology ) from about half a dozen flavors.

The sitting capacity of the branch is between 140 to 150 persons at any given time.  There is a small private room with a capacity of between 30 to 50 people, ideal for small company .

Dining Experience

The restaurant management encourages diners to enjoy their dishes with their bare hands. Food-grade wax paper is used as a plate, along with a plastic bib. Which is one of their tag line is “It’s fun to be messy” since diners will definitely get their fill of seafood while eating with their hands.

Boiling Crabs and Shrimps with Corn cobs in three kinds of sauces: Garlic Fried Sauce, Sweet and Spicy Asian Sambal Sauce, and the Savory Boiling Cajun Sauce.


There was an in-house game of mixing powdered juices, The winners were Mr. Bryan Depano ( Blue Post Slim ) and Mr. Apolo Cuenco ( Rocket Apolo ) , While Always Hungry PH won the ” Best in Instagram ” contest . Each of the participant won gift certificate and loot bags courtesy of Blue Post Boiling Crabs and Shrimps , Dole Philippines and Nestle Philippines.

Overall , we liked the menus and the rustic ambiance of the newly opened restaurant. We also had a chance to meet the CEO Mr. Anthony Ang or Mr. AA

Xavier High School batch 1986 which is celebrating their 25th silver jubilee this year  in cooperation with Big Banner Tarpaulin, Kia Motors, Jollibee, De Lionghi Coffee Machines, Playkit Philippines, Rebisco, Suncrest Food Incorporated opened this  toy and hobby fair to the general public.

The event also highlighted the  special participation of Die-cast toy Collectors of the Philippines and Die-cast Car collectors of the Philippines members  by scheduling their swap meet at the event.   The 2 -day fair is open to the public for an entrance fee of Php 50.00 .  The proceeds of the event will be donated to Xavier High School scholarship projects.

There was also an on the spot raffle of toys and other freebies  to a lucky visitor during the event. The organizers also set-up  games, eyeball meet, class reunion and even toy exhibit from  collectors .

Mr. Alvin Vy one of the organizer of the event said: “We had a toy drive together with one of the country’s leading fast-food restaurant, These toys will be donated to some orphanages and public schools. Last year we donated 3 boxes of educational toys in Urdaneta, Pangasinan “.There are over 25 commercial exhibitors; several play area for the kids and adults.


Another highlight of the event is a swapping corner where enterprising members of Die- cast  Collectors of the Philippines or simply known as DCPH and Die- cast Car Collectors of the Philippines  would swap or sell their collections.

Mr. Raj Zulueta

Mr. Raj Zulueta started to collect Marvel comics for more than 20 years and gradually shifted to die-cast toys. Now he had a hobby shop called Collectibles Unlimited located within Eton Cybepod in Ortigas across Robinson Galleria.

Shell Ferrari model cars

Pilipinas Shell launched its unique premium promotion that allows loyal motorists to own their very own Ferrari model car.

Shell has developed a set of six limited-edition models of Ferrari race and road cars from the past 60 years. Rodriguez a Mechanical Engineering Manager by profession and a graduate of Adamson University proudly showed his collections of Disney cars, movie themed cars and a certified Yoyo collector. Hot Wheels are die-cast model vehicles manufactured by Mattel and were introduced in 1967. Originally the cars and trucks were manufactured to approximately 1:64 scale and designed to be used on associated Hot Wheels track sets.

The aim of the toy exhibit is not only for fun and profit but also to raise funds for the scholarship project to well-deserving students of the community.

It is also the appropriate venue for collectors to meet other fellow collectors with the same passion and hobby. The author also saw some friends  and met  new acquaintance during the meet-up .

 The author  salute the Xavier organizers,  members of the Die-cast Toy Collectors of the Philippines and Die-cast Car Collectors of the Philippines for their openness and friendly attitude.  This group also arranges a monthly swapping exchange .

According to one of the Xavier organizers , they might do this project on a yearly basis .
