OMG : Oh My Gulay at Session Road , Baguio City

La Azotea Green Building , Diego Silang Street Corner Session Road  Baguio City, Benguet

OMG is located at the heart of infamous Baguio’s Session Road, Oh My Gulay is a unique dining restaurant which is popular to vegans, local artists , foodies and tourists. You have to climb the stairs going to  fifth floor of the La Azotea Green Building along Session Road. You have to climb an old wooden staircase leading to the penthouse floor.

Ms. Tina Perez, Ms. Vance Madrid and the author took a side tour of this famed restaurant within Session Road.  This is my second time to visit this restaurant , The first one was way back in 2010 .

One could not missed the signage at the front door leading to the penthouse where an artist’s oasis is located .

We arrived just before the sunset around past 4:30pm  ,  There are still some rays of the sun . Our group decided to take some photos of the place and we ordered some of the famed dishes for merienda ( snacks) . We ordered 3 kinds of dishes in their menu , The OMG salad ,  Lumpia Salad and Dayap Ice Tea. One can look at the surrounding places like SM and Burnham Park .

OMG salad

I think that the key to the OMG salad is that they are made from fresh quality ingredients which is found in Benguet province.

OMG Lumpia Salad

The lumpia  salad is very crispy with a lot of lettuce and special sauce.  The lumpia rolls had tofu rolls on a bed of mix green tossed with honey mustard , Asian dressing and with picama / singkamas as additional topping .

There are assortment of the decors that could be found there and there is a koi pond in the middle. There are a lot of tropical plants and foliage indoor plant , making this place a rare treat . This is visually appealing to the eyes .

Oh My Gulay! is owned by the film director Mr. Eric de Guia (aka Kitlat Tahimik). It is part of the art community called Victor Oteyza Community Art Space (VOCAS).

It began raining very hard and it is almost sunset by the time we finished eating, It was past 7:00pm when we left the place after a hearty snack and took a service van to  Azalea Hotel.
