Filipino-Chinese Friendship Week at SM Manila

SM Manila Department Store , SM Manila , Bahay Tsinoy , Saint Stephen High School Alumni Association, Philippine Cultural High School presented to the public a week long event starting on June 22 until June 26, 2015 .

The week long event started with an exhibition of old photos of the district of Binondo, Santa Cruz and San Nicolas which comprises most of Manila ‘s Chinatown.

Manila’s Chinatown is the oldest and the largest Chinese enclave is located. The centerpiece is the old Basilica Minore del San Lorenzo Ruiz .

There is also a food fest , where some of the best Filipino -Chinese food outlets were an added treat to the visitors of the event.

Some of the programs , like Chinese music orchestra June 22 , Chinese cultural dance held last June 23 , Wushu Performance June 25 and Chinese Calligraphy Session June 26 were attended by Chinese association members, student organizations among others.

Master Chua Hu Hua conducted a FREE Chinese calligraphy session at around past 2:00PM , It was attended by different Filipino- Chinese association led by the principal of Saint Stephen High School, Philippine Cultural High School , Saint Stephen High School, Yuklin Caloocan High School ,La Consolacion College , Adamson University .
