Stamp Collecting – It’s More Fun in the Philippines!

The Philippine Philatelic Federation in partnership with the  Philippine Postal Corporation together with Chinese Philatelic Club of the Philippines (CPCP),  Cebu Philatelic Society ( CPS), Filipinas Stamp Collectors’ Club ( FSCC) , International Philippine Philatelic Society (IPPS), Quezon Philatelic Society (QPS) , Naga Philatelic Society and other guest stamp clubs from across the country will mount this year’s biggest stamp show  dubbed as PHILPEX 2012 .

   The event will be held from January 24 to February 3, 2012 at the Philippine Postal Corporation main lobby, which will be joined by various stamp organizations all over the country. The stamp will feature our annual exhibit that will comprise of past winning entries of Federation of Inter-Asian Philately (FIAP) International Stamp Exhibition , Fédération Internationale de Philatélie (FIP) and will stage a national competition. Winners of this event will represent the country in various international stamp competitions for 2012 to 2013.

The opening  ceremonies will be on January 24,2012 at 9:30 am in the  Philippine Postal Corporation main lobby within Liwasang Bonifacio, Ermita, Manila

The Theme of the event is “ Knowledge and Fun through Stamp Collecting” which targeted the general public. Stamp collecting can enrich one person’s knowledge through learning their country, history, culture, arts, heritage, nature, and industries among others.

The exhibition will run from January 24 to February 3, 2012 at the lobby of the Philippine Postal Corporation Building in Liwasang Bonifacio 1000 Manila.

Wuxi Asian Stamp Exhibition- 27th Asian International Stamp Exhibit

27th Asian International Stamp Exhibition(hereinafter referred as Wuxi Asian Stamp Exhibition) is going to be held grandly in Wuxi, the “Pearl of Lake Taihu” in November 11th-15th, 2011.


The designers of the Emblem are Shen Yanqing and Shen Li from Wuxi, Jiangsu Province and the designer of the Mascot is Wang Shoutao from Yantai, Shandong Province. Ma Shuai from Shenzhen, Guangdong Provice and Wang Renfeng from Wuchang, Heilongjiang Province have got the excellent prize for their designs of the Emblem; and Zang Jie from Beijing and Zhang Xun from Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province have got the excellent prize for their designs of the Mascot.

Wuxi Asian Stamp Exhibition is under the Patronage of the Federation of Inter-Asian Philately (FIAP) and the Recognition of the Fédération Internationale de Philatélie (FIP). It was approved by the Chinese State Council, and is to be jointly hosted by the State Post Bureau, Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government, China Post Group and All-China Philatelic Federation, and Wuxi Municipal People’s Government will be the local sponsor of the Exhibition. The 31 philatelic members of FIAP are invited to participate in this grand event; the Exhibition shall consist in competitive class and non-competitive class covering 1,300 frames of exhibits. ( 1,100 frames foreign exhibitors and 200 frames from China ).


Exhibition Date:
November 11 – 15, 2011, will run for five days.
Exhibition scale: competition and non-competitive exhibition: 1300, plans 1100 exhibits outside , China (mainland) exhibits 200 . Exhibition area of 4,000 square meters. 100 Sales Booth: 100 outside the Post and 40 stamp dealers, stamp collecting domestic companies and 60 private dealers.

Exhibition aims: to promote the development of our culture; promote the cause of China’s postal and philatelic career development; promote the holding of the economic, cultural, all-round coordinated development; to promote philately in Asia and Oceania-round development; to promote international cultural exchange of people.

Moreover, an exhibition hall will be set up and more than 500 booths (stands) are planned for rent to invite domestic and foreign postal service enterprises, stamp dealers, coin dealers and cultural objects or gifts companies and etc. By then, stamp collecting from around the world and the Philatelic Association of various provinces and cities in China will collect the stamp collecting from to come to visit the Exhibition so that the visitors are expected to hit 250 thousand above. Furthermore, there are a large amount of warm-up activities in rich and colorful or influential to be held on the occasion.

The Philippines will be represented by Philippine Philatelic Federation and will exhibit rare Philippine stamps from Spanish era to the Republic.
