Big Winners at the Horticulture 2010 Show

Manila Seedling Bank Foundation – Quezon City

Philippine Horticultural Society , Inc. in cooperation with the Manila Seedling Bank Foundation and  thru the help of other  affiliate garden clubs and societies  held their successful 34th annual PHSI show from January 29 to February 8, 2010.

With this year’s theme ” It’s a Green World After All !!! ” , with all the recent effects of Typhoon Ketsana ( Ondoy) and other natural calamities the main objective of the show is to promote re-greening of our surroundings and green living

The three guests of honor  came from some of the country’ top newspaper companies- Ms. Crispina Martinez- Belen editor ( Entertainment section) Manila Bulletin , Ms. Letty Jimenez- Magsanoc ( Editor-In Chief ) Philippine Daily Inquirer , Ms. Millet Martinez Mananquil ( Lifestyle Editor) The Philippine Star .

Angiopteris palmiformii  ” aureum variegatum” – owned by Mr. George Mendoza

This  native fern is unique for its variegated foliage and was    entered in Flora Filipina 2009 Expo winning major prizes in that event . This fern may command a handsome prize tag  – If it was even for sale???

  3. maganda.this will create a different environment / atmosphere for busy working people just within reach, harap or likod ng bahay.refreshing.all green talaga. it sets a relaxing background .
